HEAD MECHANIC AND FOUNDER
“Pinnakle Mechanics was founded to deliver the quality that I personally would like to receive when having work done on my car. Repairs that are durable, work that is delivered with care and attention to detail by mechanics who do it from the place of passion.
I have had the passion for everything mechanical my whole life, I was 15 when I already constructed my very own go-cart. I have worked for speciality garages as well as car dealerships but also performed as a head mechanic in track racing.
My interest to specialise on German cars sparked when I started working for a well respected German car specialist in Sydney in 2014. The way German cars are designed also represents my point of view in quality standards and their engineering is beyond impressive. I can confidently say I offer specialised German Car service based on years of industry experience. My goal is to come up with the best solution to suit your car that often car require fair bit of creativity. For BMWs we also offer full mechanical restoration and these projects are especially close to my hearth and I look after them with lot of care.
When mechanics are car doctors, I am the mechanic you would trust with your heart transplant.”
DOMENICO SORACE
MECHANIC AND WORKSHOP MANAGER
Dom (Domenico) and Rait share the passion for cars and attention to detail and he brings lot of experience based knowledge to the team.
Domenico’s adventurous soul brought him to Australia also 10 years ago from Italy, a town called Aosta, where he grew up. Dom’s father has his own workshop, where he was working on the electrical side of the cars.
Dom spent most of his summers at the workshop but unlike his father, he developed an interest to the mechanical side of cars. He has always been more mechanically minded, ever since Dom was little, he liked to take all his toys into pieces instead of just playing with them.
His European background has mainly kept him working with all European cars and then he developed passion for German cars. His favourite car is Audi RS3, because, you know it is RS3 and he shares Rait’s passion for BMW’s.
Dom speaks 4 languages, loves his coffee, has quirky sense of humour and thinks highly of healthy food.
Tyler HODKINSON
MEChanic
Tyler, being the youngest addition to the team, shares Rait’s and Dom’s passion of wanting to take things apart instead of playing with them already from very young age.
Tyler is from Canberra but has lived most of his life in Queensland. Tyler’s career as a mechanic started in a garage specialising on classics and performance cars such as early generation Mustangs, Fords and Holdens.
His personal favourite car is 1995 Nissan skyline 33 GTR – the Skyline base model was the first car he owned at the age of 15 and every car ever since has been an upgrade from that car. Besides the sound, he really appreciates the culture that comes with the cars as the owners of the Skylines love their cars so passionately and passion unites.
Just like Rait and Dom, Tyler is genuinely passionate about everything mechanical and finding most efficient repair solutions.
Tyler loves his pies, takes Dom’s sense of humour well, yet we all wonder how sometimes there is more oil on Tayler then on the engine.
